–1:1 Architects were commissioned by William Angliss Institute to undertake schematic design and design development for an internal fit out to a single-storey building at 315 King street.

–The project included two new training kitchens and a new training café-bar to form the new Angliss Culinary Academy. As such, the brief was to provide a visually appealing space that would activate the King Street facade while providing a significant social hub within the overall campus master plan.

–This was achieved by providing a transition area between the internal and external space to create an entry terrace on the main pedestrian access route, and by locating the active kitchen areas adjacent to King Street with a full-height glass facade to address the street.
