–Heatherwood Primary School have just opened their new Library and Resource centre. 1:1 Architects designed this space with a sense of introversion and learning in mind.
–The building incorporates a large library space and a smaller resource centre. Two walls were constructed of semi-tranluscent windows to allow a diffuse light into the space, yet maintain focus internally to support reading and learning. The uniquely shaped corner windows provide small glimpses to the school ground. Sustainably grown bamboo was used for the library desks which provide a delicate
natural material element in contrast with the heavy concrete and grey colour palette.
